My husband and I rented the dual sided version of the film a couple days ago as well as bought two pairs of the dual color 3D glasses.

The film was absolutely delicate designed and consuming. It was also delightfully balanced between trippy and creepy. I’d definitely say that if parents have young children, they should preview the film prior to showing it and exhaust their personal judgment. The account has the same threads of menace that haunts unique Brother’s Grimm tales. The film at times can be rather disturbing. My husband and I humorously traded off with the line, “That is messed up!” several times through out the film. My only critique with the film is that the resolution falls too fast and maybe too neatly into position.

The reason my review is three stars is that I fail to inspect the reason tedious packaging the DVD with a 3D version of the film. Even on a HD plasma with unimpaired vision, the dual colored glasses fair did not work for me at all. I knew going in that the home television would lose the unbelievable conclude of what dual projection in a theater could originate, so I didn’t have high expectations. I was merely lively if the industry had gotten better at implementing it over time.

I went in to watching the 3D version expecting to at least regain a sense of scene depth similar to an feeble school View-Master. Unfortunately, I didn’t even collect that. None of the 3D effects worked for me. Even with a darkened room, my eyes would water while they constantly fought to refocus and gain sense of the dual colors. I had to finish watching after about twenty minutes in, because my eyes were unbiased exhausted. The 3D versions also dulls the color plot. This really doesn’t do the recent film justice at all. It was rather ghastly to peep the gleaming color contrast switching from 3D to the 2D version.

In Conclusion: Skip the 3D gimmick and luxuriate in the 2D version.

This strange animation starts with tween-aged angst, the kind that demands independence but collected wants mom and dad finish by. Her busy parents don’t have worthy time for her, though, and her unusual, remote home doesn’t offer noteworthy reward for her explorations (other than some rather kooky neighbors) . So, even if it’s not wholly conscious, Coraline wishes for a nicer plot and parents that pay more attention.

As the movie’s tagline says, “be careful what you wish for.” Like Alice down the rabbit hole, Coraline finds a secret passage to a more magical area. Soon, however, the magic turns black. That’s where the colorful animation really comes into its beget. The halt animation (or at least the glimpse of it) bring to mind Tim Burton with a macabre touch of Brothers Quay. You know your child best - fearful ones might salvage some of the imagery a bit mighty. Mild, kids’ stories (like Alice in Wonderland) have always had dusky edges. That deliciously spooky sense, plus some sizable animation, really plot this movie apart from the usual.

Generally considered Jess Franco’s finest work, Venus in Furs is the epitome of the Euro-cult exploitation/horror genre. It stars Franco common, Maria Rohm as Wanda and James Darren as Jimmy, the Jazz trumpeter. Jimmy sees Wanda being whipped and stabbed to death in an S&M scene gone awry. He flees but finds her mutilated body washed ashore on a beach in Istanbul. He then flees halfway round the world to Rio de Janeiro. But apprehension of horrors, Wanda or someone who looks like her walks into the Jazz club where he’s performing. He falls for her and they become a couple, powerful to the consternation of his girlfriend played by the dusky singer Barbara McNair. Suddenly, one by one, the people responsible for Wanda’s death, slay up monotonous, beginning in Rio and ending up attend in Istanbul. Is Wanda really tiresome? Is it her spirit coming support for revenge? Well, as we acquire out, Wanda really is lifeless and so it eventually turns out, is he. Is your head spinning yet? In this acid-tinged psychedelic movie, it really isn’t all that principal. It runs on a logic all its maintain. But the final twist, which predates The Sixth Sense by decades, brings this trippy masterpiece to a fitting halt. Audience reaction to this movie often falls into two diametrically opposite camps, either you worship it, or you disapprove it. I found it very delectable and taken as a whole, the most satisfying of all of Franco’s works.

Among Franco’s output, this has probably the least amount of gratuitous nudity or sex, and what there is of it, is beautifully lensed by Angelo Lotti, in his only collaboration with the director. None of the cheesy soft-porn fare we scrutinize in his other films. In fact this has probably the best camerawork in all of Franco’s movies. With its expend of a classy jazz accept, specially written and played by Manfred Mann and Mike Hugg, psychedelic imagery, glossy sets and generally high production values, it transcends its sexploitation origins.

On a separate impress, do not confuse this work with Leopold von Sacher-Masoch’s literary classic of the same name. The only similarity is the title and the name of the main character, Wanda. Franco’s explanation tells us the reason. His film was orginally titled Shadowy Angel and he originally envisioned a dim actor for the male lead. But social attitudes at the time prevented the casting of a dismal actor having intimate relations with a white woman. Hence the change to a white male lead. Then the money-men decided they wanted him to do a film based on Masoch’s modern “Venus in Furs”. As he was already planning to film Dark Angel, he conveniently changed the title, gave his main star Maria Rohm a beefy length fur-coat to save on, changed a few things in the script and hey presto, his Dismal Angel became overnight what the producers wanted, “Venus in Furs”. This sleight of hand to earn funding for his movie meant that the film had minute in favorite with the fresh recent. The kindest thing is to say that it was inspired by Masoch’s new. By the procedure, Masoch’s unusual has been translated many times into film, some bearing the recent title, others not. Franco’s version bears the least resemblance to it. (Masoch is the origin for the word masochist which is what the protagonist in the recent was and what he definitely isn’t in this movie) .

Blue Underground has done a noteworthy job restoring and remastering this film for DVD. It is not perfect but for a film shot in 1969, it looks glowing. The colors are rich and vibrant, skintones are honest, shadowy levels are situation on with impressive image detail. Film grain is visible throughout, especially in outdoor shots but this isn’t too distracting. There are dirt specks and debris in definite scenes, especially in the slow-mos, which makes you wonder if they were culled from different sources. But for most of the movie, describe quality is simply outstanding. Blue Underground presents the film in its current 1.85:1 widescreen with anamorphic enhancement. Sound is 2.0 mono but a very beautifully recorded and remastered mono it is. No relate, no crackle. The music comes though crystal certain and with gargantuan presence. Voices are dubbed throughout although all the actors spoke english. While James Darren and Barbara McNair dub their enjoy parts, we never procure to here Maria Rohm, Margaret Lee or Klaus Kinski. With each original release I stand in fear of Blue Underground. They are to Genre/Cult films what Criterion is to mainstream cinema classics.

Extras include a 20min interview with Franco where he discusses the genesis of the film, an 11min audio-only interview with Maria Rohm who declined to be filmed preferring fans to remember her as the graceful beauty she was in her heyday, a single US trailer for the movie and finally a gallery of stills and posters. A treasured addition to any Franco or Euro-cult collection.

This is a movie masterpiece beget no mistake about it. It combines erotica, surrealism, mystery and handsome scenery interwoven with sharp jazz music. The backdrops of Rio and Istanbul in the leisurely 60’s are as exotic as the storyline itself. This is the yarn of a jazz trumpeter who finds a girl washed up on a lonely beach. He realises that he has seen her years earlier at a party getting alive to in a “heavy scene” of sadistic sex games. Then she arrives alive once again to revisit her mature acquaintances and lead our trumpeter on a confused inch of self-discovery. The position is mildly surreal, but genuinely piquant. The allusions to risque sex are dealt with tastefully as erotica and not porn. The soundtrack is impartial shiny - a memorable highlight of the film. Whereas some of Jess Franco’s movies loose the area in parts, this is tight and shiny from initiate to enact. The power of this film is only going to grow with time. The print copy on this DVD is satisfactory - like every other blue underground release I’ve seen it is colourful and sparkling to see at. The DVD also has enough extras to hold people joyful.

The first episode of The Inspector debuted in theaters alongside the James Bond adventure Thunderball in 1965, and fits perfectly with the whole secret agent craze of the 60s. And though each episode was originally released in theaters, the Inspector cartoons also appeared alongside the Pink Panther on Saturday Morning programming for several years.

The character of The Inspector - clearly based on Inspector Clouseau from the Pink Panther films though his name is never given - bumbles his intention through case after case with the back of his loyal sidekick Deux Deux (pronounced Dudu) . Deux Duex is Spanish, but somehow has found his device to the French Surete, and a running gag has The Inspector instructing him that he should say “Oui” instead of “Si” all the time.

The Inspector originally faced off against a host of current villains, including The Blotch, The Angry Bomber, Captain Clamity, and Two-Faced Harry in a gigantic total of 34 kid-friendly cartoon shorts. Unfortunately, this DVD will only include half of the series (the other half probably being released seperately in a few months’ time) .

The slapstick shorts in this series portray to me some of the very best to arrive from the DePatie-Freleng studio (along with The Pink Panther Classic Cartoon Collection) .

Very highly recommended!

Just to definite up the misleading title of this status, the Pink Panther does not appear in these cartoons. It seems that MGM home video felt that nobody would know who The Inspector was, so they had to mark him as one of the Pink Panther’s friends.

This cartoon series is historically notable, produced in the leisurely 1960’s after all but two of the major studios gave up producing recent cartoons for the theaters. Friz Freleng (formerly directing for Warner Brothers’ Looney Tunes & Merry Melodies) teamed with David DePatie to effect a unique Animation studio, Depatie-Freleng, after Warner shut its doors. In an ironic twist Warner then contracted with them to continue producing Looney Tunes & Merrie Melodies for theaters!

But around that same time Depatie-Freleng produced an spicy title sequence for the first Pink Panther movie. It was so favorite that United Artists contracted with them to originate a series of Pink Panther Cartoons. Unlike the title sequence, the Pink Panther was no longer persued by The Inspector.

However, later that year The Inspector got his occupy theatrical cartoon series, based not on Peter Sellers but on the short, big-nosed character in the title sequences. He was now teamed up with a spanish assistant who joined him in persuing some stylistic villians like a enraged bomber who looked like a hairy ink dwelling, or a three headed sunless shadow that can bewitch on many forms to cover itself.

Pat Harrington (who later went on to be the handyman Schneider in ONE DAY AT A TIME) voiced The Inspector, giving a tiny impression of Peter Sellers. He was joined by faded whine actors such as Paul Frees & Larry Storch (Agarn in F TROOP) . Animation directors for the archaic Warner Brothers studio also joined the Depatie-Freleng studios to effect these classic 1960’s cartoons. And the quality of their work shows when comparing these to other cartoons produced at the same time from studios such as Walter Lantz.

The Inspector series was retired in 1969 and sold to NBC television as a allotment of the Pink Panther reveal. Laugh tracks were added to these theatrical cartoons which gave them a television feel, in general theatrical cartoons ran on TV without the laugh tracks. The title sections were shortened & given a novel music track for the TV note.

This collection gathers the first 17 cartoons of the 34 cartoon series with their unusual theatrical titles & music intact.

For those that have watched the Plump Monty, Brassed off, you have a worthy view of what to request. Yes, the anecdote might be cliche but it’s done very effectively in this offering. Yet again, this is based upon a moral legend in a rural township in Japan in the mid-60s when the mining town is facing the dire residence of extinction as the main industry of mining coal is coming to an waste. A contrivance is suggested to revive employment there by having a purpose built bath resort with a Hawaiian theme. To do that, it needs hula girls. In the beginning, recruiting the dancers is a grand order as Japan during that time is unexcited conservative and baring too great flesh is a positive no-no. However, there is a stubborn girl who steadfastly refuses to give up even though she’s being excommunicated from her mother who happens to be a mining comittee member anti progressive movement. However, she has a loving and supportive elderly brother who encourages her to follow her dream. She would subsequently become the lead dancer. Normally, a Hollywood offering would concentrate in training those misfits into successful people and we would sit through the routine of artificial gags to execute us laugh. For this instance, there is actually character development through the dancing teacher who is recruited from Tokyo. She has a ferocious temper and running away from her demon for not being able to hit the titanic time in Tokyo. As time progresses, as she sees commitment in eyes of those miners’ daughters, she suddenly discovers herself by having a goal to turn the fate of the dying town around. Hula Girls is a surprisingly touching movie and I’m deeply moved by it. It’s really incredible to read the demolish credit to say that Hula Girls are detached running strong today and that the same teacher is smooth doing her thing at that resort now. Highly recommended for a shot in the arm to follow our dreams.

Probably the biggest surprise of “Hula Girls”, and what gives it such impact, is how it comes out of left field with its depth and emotion. What appears to be a by-the-numbers feel ample movie, about a bunch of fish-out-of-water types who aspire to something more, to the tune of “Shall We Dance? ” or “The Stout Monty”, ends up being a brutal and violent fable, filled with prejudice and entrenched tiny town thinking. This is “Billy Elliot”. This is “Coal Miner’s Daughter”.

Buy,Download, Or Stream Hula Girls! Click Here

Life is hard for coal miners, and during the mid-60s when ask for coal dropped off and the mines started closing, it became harsher collected. One of the lofty dreams of Japan at the time was the view of life-time employment, where a company was your family and they looked after their employees faithfully. Many such projects as the Joban Hawaiian Center were started at that time, attempting to replace vanishing industries with tourism and supplying recent employment for company workers. It was an admirable goal, rather than honest discarding unneeded laborers to fend for themselves. Most of the time it ended in failure, and the various “Canada Lands” and “Holland Centers” that populated the Japanese countryside are now all barren ruins. The Hawaiian resorts unruffled stands though, and the Hula Girls are quiet dancing.

Very loosely based on this fair record, director Sang-il Lee artfully mixed the listless colors of the mining world with the sparkling promise of a better future in the flashing colors of Hawaii. Korean-Japanese, Lee knows something about the harshness of attempting to bring current thoughts to a closed community, as he has shown in his first film “Chong”. He also understands the freedom and resilience of youth, having adapted Ryu Murakami’s youth-rebellion unusual “69″. All of the actors shine as well, especially Yu Aoi as the lead dancer Kumiko.

Buy,Download, Or Stream Hula Girls! Click Here

Some of the appeal of “Hula Girls” will probably be lost on Western audiences, especially the performance of Shizuyo Yamazaki as the giant girl Sayuri. Yamazaki is a celebrated comedian in Japan, known for her gruff manner and wearing guy’s clothes, so seeing her dance around in a hula skirt is especially charming. She also puts vast depth into her character, something I didn’t believe she was first-rate of as an actress, and was quite moved by.

I have to admit I was underwhelmed by the ads for “Madagascar”, it fair didn’t perceive that sterling. But my kids were anxious to notice it so I dragged myself into the theater on Saturday ready to examine another kiddie movie along the lines of “Shark Fable” or “Home on the Range”. I did not seek information from to savor the movie as noteworthy as my seven year used….if not more. “Madagascar” is not only a tall engaging film and packs as many laughs into it’s hour and half as either “Shrek” movie did, “Madagascar” is unbiased a astronomical comedy. There were several times in the movie that were fair laugh out loud silly, the scene with the Penguins in Antarctica was worth the trace of admission for me! There are plenty of jokes aimed at an older audience, like the reference to “The Twilight Zone” episode “How to Attend Man”. The myth is titanic and the characters are really fun. The visuals are delicate and the animation is suited. Add all that together with a vast soundtrack, and I assume “Madagascar” is a huge blueprint to kick off the summer movie season. This one ranks upright up there with “The Incredibles” and “Shrek”.

Madagascar is a cute and humorous movie. Parents and kids were laughing through most of the movie. (there was an small while where the tale gets dreary.) But, I appreciate the penguins and the fact that they are always so sneaky; they really prefer the note from the main characters. If you have kids this is a sure must witness, we had kids laughing the whole time and most loved the lustrous colors, music and especially dancing. You saw a lot of petite kids dancing in their chairs. People without kids or older kids will also devour the movie as it has a lot of jokes for adults to retain us entertained and laughing; the colorful colors are also colossal for us as well as the dancing and music. I felt this cartoon lived up to its previews and the diagram it was perceived. My only hope is if they do a 2nd one that they include more of those sneaky penguins.

Of all the characters in the approved manga/anime “Bleach,” Toshiro Hitsugaya is amongst the most approved.

And he even got his gain movie: “Bleach Movie 2: The Diamond Dust Rebellion,” a beautifully spellbinding anime that takes the ice-slinging child genius into an encounter with his beget past (along with Ichigo and the others, of course) . It has some basic canon flaws (since when can Ichigo flee? ) but the storyline and animation are truly beautiful.

While the Ouin is being transported, the procession is attacked and robbed — and Hitsugaya unexpectedly takes off. Being an used fart who loves to blame people, Yamamoto puts the entire division under house arrest.

Buy,Download, Or Stream Bleach Movie 2: The DiamondDust Rebellion! Click Here

Meanwhile, Ichigo shelters an exhausted, badly-injured Hitsugaya — only to have the boy-captain urge away after one night, after muttering something about “Kusaka.” His friends initiate sniffing around for evidence of this Kusaka, while the wounded Hitsugaya is tottering around Karakura — and an execution order has been place on his head.

Then Captain Kyoraku is nearly killed by Hyorinmaru, at the same time that Hitsugaya was fighting Kira and Hisagi. During a battle with the mysterious Kusaka, Ichigo realizes who he is and why the Soul Society tried to raze him — and how distinguished power the Ouin his given him. Now Hitsugaya is clear to cessation Kusaka, but Ichigo is sure that he won’t be the only one to fight…

Perhaps the biggest predicament with “The Diamond Dust Rebellion” is that it plays fast-and-loose with some of “Bleach’s” canon, such as the plan that two people can have the same zanpakuto’s spirit.

But if that can be overlooked, then “The Diamond Dust Rebellion” is a dazzling radiant fragment of work — more focused and intense than the first “Bleach” movie, and beautifully sharp. The animation is genuine, detailed and level-headed, and everything is bathed in pale wintry light and frigid clouds, augmented by explosions of ice and blasts of mist and snow.

And it has plenty of fantastic action sequences (a moonlit fight at a shrine) and some delicate visuals (the ornate cloud-borne procession in the first scene), factual up to a spectacular climactic fight between Kusaka and all the most great Soul Reapers. Fortunately to preserve things from becoming too grim, the writers also included a bit of humorous relief — namely Renji’s intention of “resuscitating” an unconscious Ichigo. Let’s fair say it doesn’t involve mouth to mouth.

Obviously Hitsugaya gets the most development in this movie — he’s always been an frosty loner, but here we win a recognize of his past losses and a lone friendship. And once more, he tries to acquire on all the responsibility so others will be spared. Thankfully, the flashbacks are oblique enough that at first we don’t realize what he’s doing, or why.

Ichigo comes in a end second, since he’s had that lone-wolf/tough guy act in the past, and it seems radiant natural that he’d want to back out someone who has the same emotional problems. But a lot of other characters pick up diminutive spurts of attention — the profitable Ukitake, shrewd Kyoraku, his uptight lieutenant Nanao (who loses her cold after he’s injured), rough-edged Renji, and many others.

Even the villain is well done, since you can ogle how he ended up so bitter and vengeful — although his shrimp sidekicks are basically cannon fodder.

“Bleach Movie 2: The Diamond Dust Rebellion” is a far smoother high-tail than the previous “Bleach” movie, with sparkling animation and a radiant whisk into Hitsugaya’s clouded past.

This film is without a doubt one of the greatest anime films I’ve seen. What he first film did irascible, this film does fair. What was done proper in the first film, it was done correct again in this one, but even better. I really liked the action in this film A LOT. Seriously, this film has fair some mountainous action in it. The scene where Kusaka(the villain) transforms into a dragon, and then Kenpachi unbiased charges at him was FREAKIN AWESOME. You even find an yarn battle that involves the whole 13 Court Guard Squad, and yes even Head Captain Yamamotto fights. The drama with Hitsugaya wanting to select on the his burden alone was done greatly. Kusaka, the villain, was astronomical, and you could really pity the character. Kusaka also comes off as frigid when he kills his subordinates, the arrancar chicks. The acquire in this film was mountainous, it even seemed unlit in a couple of scenes. The fable serves more like a mystery, which was nice. The main thing I liked was that you got more interaction with the other characters, unlike the first film. Chad and Ishida actually fight in this film(albeit briefly) . My current scene(s) would have to be when Kenpachi charges at Kusaka, and when Soi-fon and Yoruichi fight. Also, you come by to watch Ichigo don his Hollow screen, but that only lasts for one moment. Hitsugaya in my belief is one the most overrated characters in the Bleach universe, but he was fair awesome in this film.

The only thing I didn’t like was the whole “I’m gonna catch vengeance on Soul Society” storyline, which I feel has been over-used.

Glynis Johns (Mrs. Banks in “Mary Poppins”) stars as a woman who has a flat tire and finds herself first a guest and then a “prisoner” in an ultra original house presided over by the nefarious Dr.Caligari (Dan O’Herlihy) . Bizarre experiences await her as she tries to flee. Curious other guests who may or may not have her best interests at heart are character actors J.Pat O’Malley, Constance Ford and Estelle Winwood. Plus O’Herlihy does double duty in two roles. The rather talky script is by Robert Bloch and the film seems like an extended “Twilight Zone” episode at times, which isn’t a terrible thing, but some may fetch it boring going. The acting is good however and there is a wild climax as Johns makes one last ditch grief to hurry. “Caligari” is an in-name-only connection to the 1919 still German classic but the aforementioned climax does owe a slight to the expressionistic visuals of that film. The DVD is a radiant print, I enjoyed it but “Caligari” is strictly a matter of taste experience. Plus it is very adult for the time as well with sex being a major share of the subject matter. Really curious twist ending too.

I won’t give away the ending except to say that I wonder if the writer for the movie IDENTITY saw this as a kid and veteran the same premise??? I watched this flick wondering what the heck was going on, and why everything was so freakin exclusive. And then the ending blew me away! If your a fan of the Twilight Zone or Outer Limits. (the unusual versions) rep this movie. Has the see and feel of those weak shows and a tall twist!!!! It so murky this is a forgotten GEM. I never saw it before, and I’m a young guy, but a titanic fan of old-fashioned 50’s and 60’s thrillers. Especially Hitchcockian stuff. And I fancy peevish dusky and white films. And this is it. The shot were she is being interrogated and the chess board is the main focus of the shot is chilly. Makes me contemplate they are subconsciously trying to indicate the conflict and the warring between her and Caligari. The movie is in my top 20 classic thrillers. Don’t let the first hour and change of weirdness fool you. The pay off is worth it, and everything makes sense. To a novel audience, that has seen everything 80 different ways, you can probably leer it coming early on, but its calm fun to gaze, and I can only imagine what a shock the ending would have been to a simpler audience at a simpler time. And the movie delves into some crazy stuff for its time. Very cold! Two thumbs up. And Some one need to win me the name of Caligari’s interior decorator, cause I’m all about his house. Not to mention is chilly beard and freaky Freudian relate! Trust me, glance this movie. And bewitch the dvd. You’ll want to recognize this one more than once.

Ok, if you have seen the film, you realize the film is basically a dream. A dream of an unstable woman…or some claim Caligari himself. My verdict is level-headed out on that one. But we definitely know it is the dream of someone unstable. And in an asylum. So what is the connection to the 1919 Quiet Film. The current calm version has the real same twist ending. The same underlying opinion. In the recent 1919 version all this queer stuff is happening you can’t quite understand, and you catch out at the ruin it is all the dream of an unstable asylum inmate. The two stories while told completely different, fragment the same ending and in a procedure the overall same belief. Both are about a crazy imagining a world in their head, and how exclusive a nightmare that can be. Which is again why it also in some ways reminds me of the film “IDENTITY”…another common of mine. But the relationship between these two films is more than a name. If if Robert Bloch hadn’t intended it to be this plan…in some uncommon intention both film deal with the same ideas throughout, and section the right same ending. In addition one of the reviews mentioned that he could not occupy that the female star would want to commit suicide after being locked up for two days….what one has to remember is that this record is the get of a alarmed mind, and has no genuine basis in reality. Things are happening around her, that her mind is transforming into something else. So she imagines she has been there for 2 days…but it could have been far longer. Or she could have been suicidal for many years, and being committed and locked up pushed her over the edge….in either case, to me it made perfect sense, once I understood everything was in her head. Also the relationship with her son, is a normal mother/son relationship once you realize she’s crazy….in the conversations they have, he is speaking to her like a son…she is speaking to him like a adore interest. Because she’s crazy. And that’s why in clear scenes he’s so murky. He realizes from what she says she does not know he is her son. But is imagining he is something else. A hopeful lover/boyfriend? But it is entertaining to re-watch the film, and eye his reactions to her comments.

I have a quiz, why are people giving this movie terrible reviews that situation themselves they didnt even really like the other two movies to start with? Im not gonna go write a review about harry potter or something I dislike and trash talk it cuz my thought is irrelevant. If you liked the other two movies then this one will not be disappointing. This movie was supposed to be a comedy with some martial arts action poured on top and thats exactly what it was. Chris Tucker was hilarious in it and if he annoys you then dont witness the movie. I was in a completley packed theater and every person was laughing so hard people were losing their breath. So obviously SOMEONE thinks Chris Tucker is laughable. All the haters need to attend off of this post.

I remember 2007 has been the year of the three-quel’s, and at long last–after the ambitious excess of “Spiderman 3,” the lackluster of “Shrek the Third,” the love-it-or-hate-it logic to the “Pirates” finale, the return to glossy beget of “Ocean’s 13,” and the tense, interesting “Bourne Ultimatum” (which gave a astronomical ultimatum to its fill franchise) –we near to its waste with the fun, campy adrenaline-rush of Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker re-teaming for “Speed Hour 3.” At the ruin of watching this I though it was okay but I felt a bit dim that it had to near to an destroy like this because I appreciate the first two very mighty.

Jackie Chan (Lee) acts well as usual (have some dilemma for pronouncing things but I didn’t mind that) and Chris Tucker is quiet hilarious and he’s smooth loud as ever. The jokes are decent and I had my shares of laughs here and there, the only dilemma I have with the comedy is that sometime they try to stretch it far to mighty and you’re ending up saying “We acquire it already”, The chemistry between the two leads is peaceful there which makes these movies fun in the first region.

This was an unneeded yet racy entry into the series, but it is basically the fancy child of the first two. The outtakes as usual are the best section of the film.

Rumors of filming a fourth Bustle Hour film immediately after this third installment were apparently scrapped due to unknown reasons, but one could easily venture that failing interest in the series hamstrung such a project (but who knows …maybe there will be a fourth) . Plenty of eye-candy awaits those guys who like to discover marvelously curvaceous women whom you normally would only gaze air-brushed on magazine covers. Most notably is French actress Noémie Lenoir who plays Genevieve, a dancer with a very special head on her shoulders.

But beyond that, you’re not going to gaze worthy that’ll intrigue you. The yarn has been done ad nauseam, as have all the jokes. Let ‘er rest in peace, guys.

I have been doing the WATP dvd’s for almost a year. This DVD makes it contrivance just to the top of my list in rotation.

Let’s list the PROS of this DVD:

Buy,Download, Or Stream Leslie Sansone: Walk at Home - The Big Burn! Click Here

1. Music only option (for those of us who are veterans to the WATP series and can follow the steps without instruction)

2. Fresh music to follow

3. The BOOSTED/JOGGING intervals are Pleasant. They aren’t fair at the raze of the DVD or miles. It starts about 8 minutes in and lasts for about 12 minutes. That’s 12 minutes (thereabouts) of BOOSTED/JOGGING. It’s alternated between kicks, knee lifts, and jogging up and support.

4. Expeditiously paced, doesn’t lift 30 minutes to atomize a really fine sweat. You should sweat through the entire DVD.

5. If you are looking for an expedient DVD to inform (aid to wait on play), this gives an worthy middle of the week or weekend buster to the same ragged workout.

6. Same sizable arm, leg, and (dare I say it) aerobic workout!

Now let’s list the CONS:

1. Leslie has a couple of spots where she is off on her sequences. But hey, noones perfect and after watching this Unprejudiced ONCE, attach it on music only–you can do it without her telling you what to do and it makes it simpler.

2. Could be longer. Yeah, yeah…I am glutton for punishment, but I would Esteem to have an interval training DVD that did the JOGGING/BOOSTED WALKING for more than 33 minutes. But in a pinch it’s a Colossal workout.

That’s it! I strongly recommend this particular DVD for anyone who is looking to add a cramped something extra to their standard workout. It’s fair obscene enough to fabricate a disagreement in the overall performance of workouts and easy enough to do everyday if that’s what you settle.

Well that’s enough for me, time to utilize this DVD again!

Happy walking ;-)

The satisfactory news is that I am finally cured. I no longer have to preserve buying Leslie Sansone DVDs. This one convinced me there’s nothing modern under Leslie’s lights. In fact, I suspect, despite the 2009 release date, that this session was shot several years ago. We’ve seen Mary Kay slimmer and I can’t imagine she regained her weight. The intervals are obliging. The total is, dare I say it, listless. Pop in one of your other Leslie Sansone DVD’s and set aside your money.

It is difficult to review a film that you like, when every professional critic has slammed it. On the other hand, I have to absorb I am not alone in my tastes, so, here is some praise for “The Postman”, Kevin Costner’s cinematic version of the enormous book of the same name, written by David Brin.

After the success of “Dances With Wolves”, it’s blooming determined that Costner has been trying to recapture that legend feeling. But where “Water World” was amusing to the point of being a caricature of a sweeping drama, “The Postman” avoids the trap. The nemesis, General Bethlehem is played seriously by Will Patton and the site in general is believable if not completely explained.

I admit there were a few moments that were too heavy handed, the most memorable when the Postman gallops assist to snatch a letter from a boy’s hand. Even so, I can forgive a minute over enthusiasm when it is mixed with a stirring sage. I know that during times of war, rhetoric is grist for the mill and so, the character’s obsession with the American plan, is understandable, given that it no longer exists.

You discover, civilisation has fallen. It’s implied that nuclear weapons were weak, perhaps even biological weapons. Whatever the cause, people survive precariously, huddled together in fortified towns dreading the next visit of the Holenist army. A band of thugs created during the last days of the war and now led by General Bethlehem towards some nebulous vision, who’s only constant is that Bethlehem will be the one in power.

Enter stage left, an unlikely hero. Kevin Costner’s character may have a name but it is not revealed during the film. At first he is known as Shakespeare because he is a wandering loner who is sometimes driven to develop one man, one mule, productions of the Bard in the hopes of winning a meal from his audience. His aimless existence is abruptly ended when he is roughly drafted into the Holenist army.

From the first he stands out from the crowd of beaten hopeless recruits and so is singled out for special torments and duties. The army life is brutal enough without having earned the enmity of your squad leader. One thing leads to another and dash presents itself for Shakespeare. Without food or any other protection he stumbles on the remains of an faded mail van and spends a night huddled in its dubious warmth, kept company by the body of a US Postal worker.

Whether by chance, destiny or foresight, he dons the guise of a postman and scams his draw into a local town. “The mailman’s here. Lock up your dogs.” So long starved of civilisation, the bedraggled townsmen clamour for news of the world, the government, the future. He has exiguous choice but to respond their questions, with creative and plausible fictions. It is here that the wheels of fate commence turning.

The thought he has created, of a fresh America, is too substantial for one man to control. The film takes us on a steamroller straggle headed straight towards the Holenist army. People with hope quiz action. The desire for action creates leaders. Leaders are often forced to carry out the will of the people despite a lack of talent, desire or knowledge.

In this case, a young man, self named Ford Lincoln Mercury, forces the Postman to become a symbol of civilisation and eventually the symbol of resistance. Ford’s passion and his actions are resisted for a long time but eventually the Postman comes to part the yarn. One man can stand up to tyranny, especially with the assist of a few valiant friends and the trust of one strong willed woman.

I possess that the reviewers must have been reading each other’s reviews instead of actually watching the movie, and Costner-bashing has long been tremendous sport among reviewers. The current David Brin current has been improved upon in several ways. In particular, gone are the two cyborg/supermen who duked it out in the finale of the modern, a distraction and deus-ex-machina.

I especially loved the internal consistency, lack of impossible battles, and the strong development of a number of believable characters. The Holnist leader (who played a supporting role in “Armageddon”) is more than a cartoon awful guy, and Costner’s postman is plagued by guilt and doubt as he discovers how seriously everyone takes his “Restored United States”. There is almost nothing in the movie that is irrelevant to the residence.

Yes, it is a bit boring in parts, and I was ready to cease watching after 30 minutes because I had heard that it was impartial another post-apocalyptic bore, but it turned into a agreeable movie. Even my wife, no fan of that genre, wanted to discover it all the arrangement through.
